For detection and control processes the lens is the first element in the chain of any high quality image processing system. Because any image processing system can only be as good as the weakest element, the lens has to be of the highest possible quality! Designed specifically for use in imaging processing systems, PENTAX introduces a new product series of fixed focal lengths, conforming to the high specifications required. Robust, metal construction, compact, high resolution and rich in contrast with low vignetting and distortion – the new lenses have it all!

The lens series was developed to achieve the optimum image for following components:

Ultra high resolution, high contrast

• For 5M sensors and line sensors with 7.450 pixels (4,7µm)
  
• Optimised imaging performance in close-up range

Lowest distortion

• -0,05% to +0,01% up to 45mm

Smallest loss of light transmission

• Up to 40% better transmission
• Bright and even illuminated images, from centre to image corners

Robust due to high quality manufacturing

• Long durability metal body
  
• Fixing screws for focus and iris
• Available with “click-stop” or infinitely variable iris settings

Compact contraction

• smaller body without increasing light loss
• ø60mm
